Powell declares in favor of term limits

In another sign of her commitment to clean government and resistance to entrenched power, Niyoka Powell pledged support for Congressional term limits.

Long-serving incumbents are often captive to special interests, threatening the independence and integrity of the national legislature, which is properly the "people's branch."

By signing the pledge, Powell agreed to "cosponsor, vote for, and defend [a] resolution applying for an Article V convention for the sole purpose of enacting term limits on Congress[.]"
